Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit my screenplay for editing at any time?

Our office hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern, excluding U.S. holidays. But yes, our website allows submissions 24 hours a day, seven days a week, almost any day of the year. We’ll get started right away during our normal office hours.

Where are you located exactly?

Super Screenplays, a division of Super Copy Editors LLC, is based in New York City. But we handle work from all over the world.

Do you guarantee the quality of your work?

Your satisfaction is extremely important to us. We strive for perfection, and our work is reviewed internally for quality assurance. Of course, we realize that editing quality can be subjective, so here is our guarantee:

“The Super Screenplays team seeks to provide complete satisfaction to our customers. We strive to service all documents to a high and exacting standard. If you have any questions or concerns about your edited document, please know that we are always available to discuss these with you. We are happy to explain every decision we have made. If you are not 100% satisfied with our work, for any reason at all, we will have another editor from Super Screenplays read the document again for no extra charge when you request this within three days of receiving it from us.”

I need you to keep my project confidential. Can you do this?

Absolutely. We never share your private information. In addition, we train our editors in the best practices for maintaining confidentiality and protecting your information. It’s very important to us because we know it’s important to you. Of course, we’re happy to sign a nondisclosure agreement with you as well.

Will you gain any sort of rights to my work?

Definitely not. Any work that you submit to us remains yours and yours alone, even if you accept changes that we suggest to the text. You own the work. Period.

What file formats do you accept?

At this time, the only acceptable formats are Final Draft, Word docs, or PDFs. Your screenplay should already be properly formatted because we don’t format from scratch.

Although we accept them, we strongly suggest you don’t send us a PDF, though, because you’ll then have to manually type in all of our changes. (Who has time for that?!)

Your best bet is to send us your Final Draft file. We can track changes so you’ll see every change we’ve made. And we’ll all be happy.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our credit card payment processing is handled by PayPal. It is not necessary to have a PayPal account—PayPal securely accepts any debit and credit card, such as MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We use PayPal because it is trusted and secure.

Is my payment secure?

Definitely! All payments via PayPal, debit card, or credit card are secure. We never see your payment details because they are held only on PayPal’s secure servers, certified by stringent VeriSign security. In addition, PayPal privacy protection is certified by a TRUSTe license.

Sounds amazing. How do I get started?

Just go to our pricing page and pick out the option that’s best for you. We tried to keep things super simple, with just three service levels with a flat price.
